A Poem of Hate

I spent a full week without you
Right then I realized my world was so peaceful without you

It was a whole chilly week, and you're not around
I don't really mind, for we are not bound

Now that I'm back home, you return to me
And you pester me again the way you used to be

I have no idea why God blessed you with life
For you are so annoying, I want you out of my life

So I scream in my heart, leaving echoes
Get the fuck away from me, you goddamn mosquitoes

The View of the Te Nori Taiga

As I have promised on my last post, here's my review of Toradora!

It was really great, I mean it. The story plot is nicely made, the romance is neatly flavored, and some of the comedy parts are too hilarious not to laugh at.

And it's also one of few animes I watched that made an impact on me. I started to look at life in a different way now, with more optimism and confidence. I decided to stop running away from my problems from now on.

It's also one of those that actually made me cry.. No, really, I cried on episode 19 and 25.. And it wasn't just some simple drop of tears on episode 19 by the way, I actually broke down and had to cover my face with my hands to make sure that those who were sleeping around me don't wake up from my sobbing.

So, in the end, after applying some minuses on stuffs that you would understand why after watching it yourself, I'm giving it a 9.8 out of 10.

Conclusion? Well, if you're a fan of high-school life dramas, or should you even have the tiniest drop of otaku blood in you, and you haven't watched this or even never heard of it: Go watch it. Now. Quickly.

"Even if the sky is pitch black, with nothing to see, there will be stars shining somewhere out there. If I keep shining brighter and brighter, I'll definitely look better to people."
That's why, I won't run away anymore. I have to change. I have to accept everything. I will be proud of myself.

We're finally back from Bukit Tinggi!! God I really miss the internet... >_<

Many things happened back home, a lot of them are interesting. However, I don't think they'll fit in if I write them all here, would they?

First thing first, here's my grandma's house.

And here's the panoramic view from there.

And here are the creatures that filled the days we had at home.

As you can see, they don't really care about our own well being =="

We also went to some places, though most of them are our relatives' houses, which you might find not interesting, so I won't spill it here. But, here's a panoramic view as a freebie.

Ah, I also watched Toradora! from beginning to the end while I was there, review will follow after this post.

Well, I think that should be all for the short review of my homevillage visit. For those who are interested to know more, feel free to chat with me whenever I'm available at Yahoo Messenger.

Cheers to all. ^^v

Homeward Bound

I'm going to my home village today at Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra. So I won't be able to get online till at least next Thursday.

Boy, it has been so long since my last visit there, wonder how many things have changed after all these time.

It might sound odd, but today's departure worry me a bit. Don't know why, maybe I just miss being inside an airplane

Oh, and this will be the first time for Reno-chan (my lappy) to travel overseas, I do hope she won't get vertigo or nausea on the way.

Ah, by the way Rissa, my sis, asked me to bring her the Gadang clock tower. Can't wait to see her face when I get home. =D

That'll be all for now, hope to see you all again next week. Bye-bee.

Poetic Exhibition

Ok, I might carve utter disbelief upon your mind, but I wrote a love poem today.

You wanna see? Well, here goes

It’s been years since we first met
Since all those time that we have spent
All the while, I thought you were just a friend
Now I realize you are something more instead

The beaming light from your smile, so fair
The radiant presence of you fills the air
You’re always there for me whenever I wish
This bond we share shall never perish

You are the chime of warm breeze,
The moon that glows through the trees
And within the luster of evening
Your aura echoes in the surrounding

Some say perfection is unattainable
For most things that's explainable,
But in your arms and with your heart's affection
I have found a brief moment of perfection

Time has healed our many wounds,
But has not erased the memory of us
But we'll hold on, we'll stay together
We will get through this, you and me forever

You always understand me truly
I wish we could be together completely
But it is a transient dream went cold
For we came from completely different world

However, the fact remains that this feeling is true
I can’t even find any further reason to argue
That I’m in love with you for real
Claes Cobaltine, my dear

Well, this is actually an improvement from a poem that I wrote for my novel (which is quite to my liking), but I modified it to be used in a movie which me and my friends are planning to make. I changed the name that comes in the last line so that it meets the requirement.

Oh, and for your information; Claes Cobaltine, or in short, Cobalt, is the full name of my computer.

The Fashion Day

"Lebaran sebentaaar lagi...."
..So they say. Well, it is coming soon.. But that's not the main point here.

I bet I'm not the only one complaining about the trend that happens every single time we, moslems, celebrate Lebaran; The never ending madness of fashion show-offs.

My parents pointed out the reason of why people always buy new clothes for the big day as "To show how much we care about our children and to show respect to the people we visit".

It's still sounds like brahmin dung to me. I mean, if you go so far as to buy new clothes with hundreds thousand of rupiahs, simply to show that you care for your children to other people, wouldn't it be considered merely as to "protecting your pride as a parent"?

And if you want to show respect to the people that you visit, you don't need to use freshly bought clothes, all you need are tidy clothes that reflects your sincere motive of maintainin silaturahmi with the people you visit. Wouldn't using freshly bought clothes every year for your visit could mean you showing off your wealth?

On top of it all, there is no such saying from the prophet Muhammad that "you should buy new clothes for every Lebaran".

I have no idea when this trend started. It feels like the "chocolate giving" trend in Valentine's days

Eiii, Whatever

Sometimes I get this feeling that this blog is not being read by anyone but me. Due to the nearly straight zero comments from all of my posts, or the chat box where you can hear the sound of a falling pin.

Hell would I care, I'm gonna keep talking anyway, lol. :))

Ok, today - at 2pm to be exact - I'm supposed to do some speech practice at my public speaking school. And because I fell sick since 2 days ago, I haven't wrote anything for the outline, so up till now I don't know what should I talk about.

I know the topic theme though, which shouldn't be so hard except it's supposed to be a 10 minutes long speech, when my longest record was only 7 minutes.

Heh, I hope I'll get through just fine. Fear is but an illusion of mind. I can do it.. I can do it.. >__<

Well, back to the outline planning then. See ya.

Flame Hazed

Just finished watching Shakugan no Shana first season yesterday. I know, I know, it's something that I supposed to watch like 2 years ago.. But two years ago I didn't have this much interest in anime yet.

Okay then, my review; it's not an oh-so-awesome anime, as many people has pointed out as well, probably because of the story's complexity, but.... it's really, really, worth watching it, trust me.

However, if you're not into animes that require some thinking to keep up with the story, you might want to pass this, it'll be quite confusing for you puny folks. =p

Now if only I didn't delete the 2nd season by mistake years ago.... ;_;

Anyway, here's Shana's pic as a freebie.

Very cute huh? ^_^
Now, thanks to her I would love to know what a melon bread tastes like..

Well, I guess what my kouhai said a long time ago is true; maybe I do have a fetish to cute/beautiful sword-wielding girls... >_<

Side story:
I had ANOTHER dream about me going to junior high again, at this same age. So I enrolled college and junior high at the same time. And the scene changed to a pool where.. Shana was throwing pocky-sticks at Kagami as though they were kunais... Then the scene changed again, I became Yuji and was being carried by Metamorphosis Sydonay, with Shana on his back trying to save me.

I woke up after realizing the dream had gone too weird. =="

That'll be all for this time then.
